Pamela Denise Harbin

Pamela Denise Harbin, 67, of West Blocton, Ala., formerly of Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Pam was born on Nov. 27, 1957, in Winfield, to Louie Edward (Ed) and Esther Lene Hathcock Harbin.
She was a 1976 graduate of Winfield High School, where she was a member of the marching band and played clarinet. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winfield and also attended Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church. She studied at UAB and received her certification for EMT and took great pride and joy in this service to the public. She went on to start her own business, Medical Staff Recruiters, for over 20 years. She had a fascination with all things medical and loved to learn about anything in the medical field. In her spare time, Pam was an avid fan of Alabama football, loved reading and visiting the beach, especially St. Augustine Beach, and enjoyed spending time with family.
Pam is survived by her life partner, Ricky Dodd; her sisters, Julia Harbin West, Martha Harbin Takacs, Cathy Harbin Williams (Phillip) and Carol Harbin Khalikyar; nieces and nephews, Mark Harbin, Tom Harbin (Tina), Amanda Hinkle (Drew), Jeff Lusk, Russ West (Danielle), Micheal West (Tiffany), Rob Takacs (Felicia), Chad Herren (Susan), Stephen Takacs (Hillary), Heather Hagood (Justin), Cody Williams (Allison), Amanda Scott (Drew), Blake Harbin, Zaman Khalikyar (Stephanie) and Mariam Khalikyar; and a host of great-nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents Ed and Esther Lene Harbin, Pam was preceded in death by her brother, William Thomas Harbin.
Funeral services for Pam were held on June 6, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at the Winfield City Cemetery.
