Tom Hollis

Tom Hollis, 71, of Sulligent, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.
Mr. Hollis was born Aug. 12, 1953, in Birmingham, to the late William Robert "Willie" Hollis and the late Opal Faye Hollis. He attended Gardendale High School and was a graduate of Bessemer Tech in Bessemer. Mr. Hollis served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked as an electrician and retired from ABC Coke Company of Birmingham. Tom enjoyed farming, gardening and classic cars. He was a Mason and a member of the East Gardendale Baptist Church. His loving memory will always be cherished and greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.  
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Hollis of Sulligent; sons, Brandon Hollis of Mt. Olive and Matthew (Morgan) Hollis of Sulligent; grandchildren, Lily Hollis, Mackenzie Hollis and Riley Hollis; and sister, Pat Davis of Gardendale.
Funeral services were held on April 26, 2025, at the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Gilmer addition of the Sulligent City Cemetery. Bro. Jason Ives officiated.
