Willa Dean McDonald, 91, of Winfield, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at her  residence.
Born July 29, 1933, she is the daughter of the late James Edward and Francis Raye Black Roberts, and the wife of the late Gerald Ballard and Curtis McDonald. She was a resident of the Ballard community most of her life, a seamstress and a Christian.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Sue Ballard; son, Gerald Wayne Ballard (Christy); two stepsons, Ronald McDonald (Betty) and Kevin McDonald (Debra); sister, Nancy Harrelson (Pete); brother, Lonnie Roberts (Charolene); three grandchildren, Dusty Sharee Ballard, Stara Ballard (Chad McCarley) and Brennan Ballard; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Atkinson (Taylor), Sophie Corkren (Carson Miles) and Adam Jack Schmitt (Trinity Bates); and a great-great-grandchild, Paisley Atkinson.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Ballard and Curtis McDonald; sister, Elizabeth Ann Roberts; two brothers, Jim Roberts and Harold Roberts and a stepdaughter, Jackie Dockery.
Graveside services were held Feb. 4, 2025, at the Guin City Cemetery. Bro Zane Miles officiated.
