A host of Phillips players take out Meek Tigers.

BEAR CREEK — The Bears may have started out on the prowl, but it was the Tigers who had the final growl, as Meek soundly defeated Phillips 37-8 in a Friday the 13th regional victory.
In a game that was abbreviated to 10 minute quarters the second half due to threatening weather, the Tigers started off the game with a domination that lasted throughout the game.
The Tigers’ first score came on the third play of the game’s opening drive of 75 yards.
Quarterback Brady Baxter connected with Ryan Ewing who darted 40 to the uprights with 10:40 left in the first quarter. Baxter hit Evan McCay for the two point conversion, and the score started out 8-0
