Jerry Clark Fincher

Jerry Clark Fincher, 77, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024, surrounded by loved ones.
Clark was born on Dec. 26, 1946, in Hackleburg, to the late David L. and Ardell Watkins Fincher and was the youngest of eight siblings. He was a beloved member of the community and a friend to all. His heart was made of pure gold and he leaves behind a legacy of integrity and love built on the acts of service he poured into Hackleburg and the surrounding area. Clark loved his town and was the Hackleburg Panthers’ biggest fan. He was among the first to be inducted into the Marion County Sports Hall of Fame due to his work as a trustee for the Hackleburg School System. When you sit under the lights of Ray Stadium, we ask that you think of him. Clark was also a devoted member of Hackleburg First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for 30 plus years. He loved the Lord and his family with his whole heart. He was the very best of us, and his strength, love and honor are lessons we will carry with us forever. Clark Fincher wore many hats here on earth: Mr. Fixer-upper, Father, Teacher, Friend, Husband and Papaw, and we thank God that he was ours.
