HAMILTON — The Marion County Commission voted to name Blake Farley as the new full-time director of the Marion County Emergency Management Agency during its meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
Farley was previously promoted to interim director in July, after previous director Eric Terrell was appointed as the director of the Marion County Public Water Authority.
“I’ve known Blake since I came into EMA about four and a half years ago, and then he was our assistant director for the last year and a half, so I’ve gotten to know Blake pretty well,” Terrell stated. “I think our county is in really good hands with the experience that Blake brings to the table. I think we’re in good shape. I don’t see how we could have found anyone that was anymore qualified than Blake to take over the EMA.”
