Lafaye Ann Posey, 76, of Guin passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at her residence.
Born November 23, 1947, in St. Paul, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Harry Robert Learn and Lillie Mae Miller and the wife of Foy Lee Posey. She had lived in Guin most of her life and attended the Guin First Free Will Baptist Church. She loved gardening, working in her flowers and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Foy Lee Posey of Guin; four daughters, Tereasa Posey of Montgomery, Jody Tucker (Terry), Melissa Sexton (Lance) of Winfield and Wendy Fields (Darrell) of Millport, Ala.; a son, Chad Posey (Gina Tittle) of Carbon Hill; ten grandchildren, Nick Tucker (Courtney), Shannon Holcomb (Kyler), Jerica Galloway (Justin), Kisten Moore (Tyler), Tye Posey (Taylor), Matt Huffman (Mary Kate), Daniel Cahoon (Alex), Alex Posey (Tucker Holliman), Rhiannon Smith (Kaleb), Ian Fields (Halie) and Sean Turnipseed (Morgan); 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Glenn of Michigan; and brother, Samuel Miller of Florida.
Private family services were held May 25, 2024, at the Veal Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Elmore officiated.
