HACKLEBURG - Hackleburg’s water towers will soon be looking a lot fresher in the near future after a less-than-ideal result from an Alabama Department of Environmental Management inspection in July.
According to Hackleburg Town Clerk Carla Rector, the town failed inspections on three of its water towers and will now need to paint and maintain the water towers.
The town will use funds from its approximately $300,000 American Rescue Act monies to complete the project.
This is the first and, currently, only project to use funds from the American Rescue Act in the town.
