HAMILTON - Winfield Mayor Randy Price and Police Chief Brett Burleson expressed their support of Tim Miller and the new Texas Equusearch Winfield chapter during the press conference held on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Winfield Elementary School.
“When a man can stand up and say that Christ has led him to do something and you see it’s for a good reason and you see the results of what he’s doing, I’m always wanting to be a part of it,” said Price.
“I’m glad to be a part of it and I’m glad to have people like (Miller) in our community who try to make a difference and try to get involved. I think Winfield stands in the spotlight a lot of times because we have a community that sticks together and tries to make a difference. I’m glad that Winfield is one of the first cities to be a part of this chapter of Texas Equusearch.”
Burleson expressed his support and, after hearing Miller’s struggles with his local police department in Texas concerning his missing daughter Laura in 1984, offered an apology on behalf of law enforcement.
