The board of directors, staff and residents of Weldy Home for Girls extend our heartfelt gratitude to the many individuals, businesses, civic organizations, foundations, schools, churches and volunteers who have generously supported our ministry throughout the past year.
Because of your kindness and compassion, our girls continue to experience the love, encouragement and stability they deserve. Every donation, every volunteer hour and every act of service reminds our residents their community believes in them and their future.
We would like to recognize and sincerely thank the following supporters for their outstanding generosity:
• Law Lamar and Friends of Hale County for organizing a generous supply drive that provided many of the everyday necessities our girls need.
• K. Rose Florist for beautifully decorating and enhancing the Weldy Home grounds with festive fall décor, creating a warm and welcoming environment for our girls and visitors.
• Kiwanis Club of Fayette County for their continued partnership through the annual golf tournament and generous monetary donations that help sustain our mission.
• Interfor and David Clemens for constructing a new carport and coordinating a supply drive that greatly improved both our facilities and daily operations.
• Tiffin Motor Company for their canned food and household supply drive, helping keep our pantry stocked and our home well supplied.
• Cub Scouts for their thoughtful supply drive and their commitment to serving others through community service.
• Fayette County HOSA and Susan Ingle for their generous supply drive and the annual Christmas Pajama Project, which brought joy, comfort and smiles to our girls during the holiday season.
• Bovay Foundation and Mike Patrick for their generous monetary donation, providing valuable financial support that helps us continue meeting the needs of the girls we serve.
• Lamar County Hospital Foundation for awarding a generous monetary grant that strengthens our ability to provide a safe, supportive and nurturing home for girls in our care.
• 3M Guin for their generous monetary assistance in support of Weldy Home’s mission and the young women we serve.
• Continental Conveyor for their generous monetary assistance, helping ensure Weldy Home can continue providing a safe, caring and supportive environment for girls in need.
• Winfield First Baptist Church for their faithful and consistent monetary assistance throughout the years. Their steadfast support has been a tremendous blessing to Weldy Home and has played an important role in helping us continue serving girls with compassion, hope and stability.
• White Springs Church for their faithful and consistent monetary and supply donations. Their unwavering generosity has helped meet both the daily needs of our residents and the ongoing operational needs of Weldy Home, making a meaningful difference in the lives of the girls we serve.
• The Weldy Home Foundation for providing a Christmas dinner for the residents and staff of Weldy Home for Girls at Cedar Landing, sponsoring the girls with Christmas gifts, executing a clothing and shoe drive for our girls and funding a summer trip to Orange Beach. This trip will be the first for some of our girls to experience the sand and sea. Currently, the Weldy Home Foundation has scheduled a Bike Ride for school supplies. We are appreciative and thankful for the kindness and generosity of The Weldy Home Foundation.
These gifts represent much more than supplies, food or financial assistance — they represent hope. They demonstrate our community is committed to helping young girls heal, grow and build brighter futures.
As Weldy Home continues its mission of providing safe and supportive transitional housing for girls who have experienced significant life disruptions while equipping them with life skills, counseling, educational support and positive mentorship, we remain grateful for the partnerships that make this work possible.
Every act of generosity — whether through financial contributions, donated supplies, volunteer service or encouragement — has a lasting impact on the lives of our residents. Together, we are creating opportunities for healing, growth and success.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in the mission of Weldy Home for Girls. Your generosity is changing lives, and we look forward to continuing this important work together as we provide hope, healing and brighter futures for the young women we are privileged to serve.
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Thank you to every donor, volunteer and community partner for making a difference in the lives of the girls who call Weldy Home home.
