Marion County Stampede nears

The Third Annual Marion County Stampede takes place this weekend on Friday and Saturday, May 3-4, at the Hamilton Industrial Park. Gates open at 5 p.m. Muttin’ Bustin’ begins at 6:30 p.m. (register by 6:15) and the rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, with all proceeds to benefit the Hamilton Aggie Football Booster Club. Children three and under are admitted free. Professional rodeo riders from all over the country will appear at this fun family fundraising event. Merchandise and food vendors will be onsite.

HAMILTON — The Marion County Stampede in Hamilton has been named the Best New Rodeo of the Year and the Best $1,500 Rodeo of Year for the event that took place in 2022.
The rodeo event, which was held in the spring of 2022, was a huge hit in Marion County, drawing crowds from even outside of Marion County lines.
The Professional Cowboy Association at the rodeo finals in Biloxi, Miss. announced the awards on Saturday, Feb. 4.

HAMILTON — After the massive success of the Marion County Stampede just a few months ago, county resident Jamie Gann plans to bring more horse events on a more regular basis to the youth and other residents of Marion County.
During a regular meeting held on Monday, July 18, at the commission office in Hamilton, Gann suggested that the county lease him property located just off of Highway 43 South.

Inaugural Marion County Stampede a massive success

Hamilton held its first ever Marion County Stampede rodeo event this past weekend, drawing crowds from Marion County and surrounding areas to watch cowboys and cowgirls compete in various events.

HAMILTON — The Marion county Stampede on I-22 and Hamilton’s first Cowboy Day were huge successes this weekend, drawing big crowds from all over and outside of Marion County to enjoy Hamilton’s first inaugural rodeo event.
The event took place on Friday night, May 6 and Saturday night, May 7, at the field near the Tombigbee Electrical Co-op property with a special Cowboy Day held on Saturday morning in downtown Hamilton before the second day of the rodeo.

HAMILTON — The inaugural Marion County Stampede is nearly here and event coordinator Matt McCracken is rallying support and sponsorship for the event that will take place in Hamilton.
McCracken addressed the Marion County Commission to ask for sponsorship during a regular meeting held on Monday, April 18, at the commission office in Hamilton.
