Aldridge accepts position at T.R. Miller

WINFIELD — Winfield City High School Principal Adam Aldridge has accepted the principal position at T.R. Miller High School in Brewton, Ala.
Aldridge worked in the Winfield City School System for 14 years, and in education for 20 years.
Aldridge earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture information science from Mississippi State in 2004.
After that, he began work on his master’s degree in agriculture and extension education, which he earned in 2005.
He then went on to earn his Ph.D. in career and technical education from Auburn, and spent 10 years teaching and leading forestry and land judging teams to FFA competition
Aldridge also briefly taught at New Mexico State University before moving himself and his family back to Alabama.
Before Winfield, Aldridge also served as principal at Brilliant School, and before that, he taught agriculture at Carbon Hill.
In 2021, Aldridge was hired as the principal of his alma mater, Winfield City High School.
Aldridge reflected on his time at Winfield, and the moments he was most proud of from his career there.
“Some of my proudest moments as an employee at WCHS came when I was an agriculture education teacher,” Aldridge said. “I always enjoyed teaching my students and seeing their enthusiasm for learning and applying the knowledge and skills they gained.
