Ms. Mamie Ruth (Ruthie) Taylor, 75, of Fayette, passed away peacefully at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham, on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024.
She was a warrior and had served the Lord since she was a teenager and throughout her life, and it was noticed by her willingness to take care for others. May she rest and have peace. She may be gone but she will never be forgotten. Ruthie was a loving soul with a heart of gold. She may have been a small woman, but her heart was the size of any room she walked into. She loved her family more than anything. She loved painting, baking cakes, and shopping, especially if it was for her family. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt.
She is survived by her sisters, Frances May Williams (Dewayne), Charlotte Aultman (Steve) and Donna Lynn; her grandchildren, Shawn M. Robbins, Cody Robbins and Vanessa Robbins; her nieces, Tammy Lynn, Sharon Mohon, Pamela Williams and Deidree Williams; nephews, Michael Williams and Shane Aultman; a host of cousins, a host of great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special caretaker whom she loved dearly, Mrs. Felonia Davis Jones.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cosby and Mamie Webb and Ed and Aline Smothers, parents; Johnny Webb and Willowdean Smothers; only son, Glenn O’Neal Robbins; a special brother-in-law, Alonzo Lynn Jr.; and a host of aunts and uncles.
Funeral services for Ms. Taylor were held on Dec. 19, 2024 , at Fern Springs Cemetery in Eldridge with burial to follow.
