CARBON HILL — The Winfield Pirates pounded the Carbon Hill Bulldogs by a score of 41-6 on Friday, Oct. 4, at Carbon Hill in a Class 3A, Region 5 matchup.
The Pirates scored early and often, racing out to a 34-0 lead at halftime and added another score in the second half to put away the Bulldogs.
The win improved Winfield to 6-1 on the season and 4-0 in region play.
