Panthers take 33-13 win over Bears Friday

Panther Cam Ingram catches a pass in the early minutes of the game.

HACKLEBURG — The Lynn Bears came to play on Hackleburg’s turf Friday, Aug. 30, and went away with a 33-13 loss.
Lynn won the coin toss but deferred to the second half, leaving the Hackleburg Panthers to start on their on 35 yard line. After the second first down, the Panthers fumbled, giving Lynn an opportunity 45 yards away from the end zone.
A complete pass and carry to the 5 yard line by Chip Crowe put the Bears in excellent position. Lynn’s Braylen Roberts was able to get the ball past the goal line for the first touchdown of the game. A good PAT left the score 7-0, in favor of Lynn. It would be their only touchdown until the last quarter.
