Edna Johnson

Mrs. Edna Faye Johnson, 80, of Winfield passed away on Monday, Mar. 25, 2024, in the Northwest Medical Center. Faye was born in Cullman, Ala. on Aug. 24, 1943 to Albert and Beulah Coker Swann. She attended Mortimer Jordan High School and was employed with the Winfield Cotton Mill for many years. In her spare time Faye enjoyed fishing, playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles, watching Auburn football, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by sons, James Garner (Mary Ann) and Dewayne Garner (Jenny); grandchildren, Brittany Garner (Brent Mackey), Kyle Garner (Ashley), Justin Garner, and Jennifer Garner; siblings, Lewis Williams, Patricia Garner, George Swann (Lori), Betty McAlpine (William), Cathy Smith, Jennette Beasley (Jesse), and Rena Prather (Mark); and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, as well as two siblings, Edward Swann, and Marie Thomas.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson were held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the McGraw Chapel of the Miles Memorial Funeral Home with burial that followed in the New River Baptist Church Cemetery.
