WINFIELD — The Hamilton High School Aggies’ boys and girls’ track and field teams claimed the Marion County championship titles on Wednesday, April 19.
The boys’ team won with 253 points, and the girls team won with 221 points.
In the girls’ meet, Marion County placed second with 205 points, Winfield took third with 72 points, Phillips finished fourth with 48 points and Hackleburg placed fifth with 47 points, leaving Brilliant in sixth with 44 points.
Winfield finished in second place in the boys’ meet with 135.5 points, Hackleburg placed third with 96.5 points, Marion County took fourth place with 92 points, Phillips came in fifth place with 42 points and Brilliant ended up in sixth place with 24 points.

- Girls’ 100-meter hurdles: 1. Hamilton’s Meg Wiginton (16.58 seconds), 2. Hackleburg’s Mikylah Blackburn (17.74 seconds), 3. Phillips’ Emma Kate Gilliam (20.60 seconds).
- Boys’ 110-meter hurdles: 1. Hamilton’s Elijah Dollar (15.64 seconds), 2. Hamilton’s Keyondre Ford (17.84 seconds), 3. Phillips’ Josh Mann (19.37 seconds).
- Girls’ 100-meter dash: 1. Hamilton’s Kyra Casey (12.99), 2. Marion County’s Madison Lipsey (13.4), 3. Hamilton’s Taylor Biggerstaff (13.58).
- Boys’ 100-meter dash: 1. Hackleburg’s Daniel Cooper (10.98), 2. Hamilton’s Dylan Segraves (11.05), 3. Hamilton’s Hayden Ables (11.23).
- Girls’ 400-meter dash: 1. Hamilton’s Sarah Grace Harbor (1:08.30), 2. Marion County’s Anna Prather (1:09.69), 3. Hamilton’s Gracie Sanderson (1:10.42).
- Boys’ 400-meter dash: 1. Hackleburg’s Daniel Cooper (52.47), 2. Winfield’s Jarett Hosch (53.13), 3. Hamilton’s Keyondre Ford (54.80).
- Girls’ 1600-meter run: Hamilton’s Maya Jones (5:48.30), 2. Hamilton’s Madelyn Hulsey (6:16.74), 3. Winfield’s Audrey Spillers (6:25.86).
- Boys’ 1600-meter run: Hamilton swept the podium with Joshua Webb (5:13.05), Lane Taylor (5:13.62) and Anderson Streetman (5:14.22). Hamilton also claimed fourth place with Kaden Whitaker finishing just behind Streetman. Marion County’s Carter Stephens was a second behind in fifth place.
- Girls’ 200-meter dash: 1. Hamilton’s Kyra Casey (27.27), 2. Hamilton’s Aubrey Sorrels (27.93), 3. Marion County’s Alecia Shack (28.89).
- Boys’ 200-meter dash: 1. Hackleburg’s Daniel Cooper (22.64), 2. Hamilton’s Dylan Segraves (23.00), 3. Hamilton’s Hayden Ables (23.35).
- Girls’ 800-meter run: The Lady Aggies swept the top three spots in another event thanks to Ann and Jane Wiginton and Madelyn Hulsey. Winfield’s Audrey Spillers placed fourth.
- Boys’ 800-meter run: 1. Hamilton’s Joshua Webb (2:15.62), 2. Hamilton’s Lane Taylor (2:16.58), 3. Winfield’s Dawson Klein (2:17.73).
- Girls’ 300-meter hurdles: 1. Hamilton’s Meg Wiginton (48.61), 2. Marion County’s Leiporshia Lipsey (55.26), 3. Hackleburg’s Mikylah Blackburn (57.30).
- Boys’ 300-meter hurdles: 1. Hamilton’s Elijah Dollar (44.07), 2. Hamilton’s Keyondre Ford (45.46), 3. Hackleburg’s Ja’Quan Reeder (47.04).
- Girls’ 3200-meter run: 1. Hamilton’s Maya Jones (13:26.64), 2. Hamilton’s Madelyn Hulsey (14:16.76), 3. Marion County’s Zoe Lucas (14:29.00).
- Boys’ 3200-meter run: 1. Hamilton’s Kaden Whitaker (12.14.66), 2. Marion County’s Carter Stephens (12:24.15), 3. Hamilton’s Braden Bannister (12:36.44).
- Girls’ high jump: 1. Marion County’s Leiporshia Lipsey (5-0), 2. Hamilton’s Jordan Parker (4-10), 2. (Tie) Marion County’s Lily Robinson (4-10), 3. Brilliant’s Abbygail Humphries (4-6).
- Boys’ high jump: 1. Marion County’s Tye Madison (6-0), 2. Marion County’s Cade Atkins (5-10), 3. Hamilton’s Ethan Robinson (5-10).
- Girls’ pole vault: 1. Marion County’s Caroline Pyron (7-6), 2. Marion County’s Lilly Franks (7-6), 3. Hamilton’s Taylor Biggerstaff (7-0).
- Boys’ pole vault: 1. Hamilton’s Jake Webb (12-6), 2. Hamilton’s Ethan Robinson (12-6), 3. Marion County’s Tye Madison (11-0).
- Girls’ long jump: 1. Hamilton’s Kyra Casey (16-0), 2. Marion County’s Madison Lipsey (15-2), 3. Marion County’s Anna Prather (14-4.5).

- Girls’ shot put: 1. Winfield’s Selena Winston (32-4.5), 2. Winfield’s Arie McCollum (30-10), 3. Phillips’ Natalee Ward (30-0.5).
- Boys’ shot put: 1. Winfield’s Adan Aldridge (41-5), 2. Hamilton’s Kevin McBride (39-6.25), 3. Hackleburg’s Luke Herring (39-2).
- Girls’ 4x800 relay: Hamilton’s girls won the 4x800 with a team consisting of Makayla Peoples, Sarah Grace Harber, Anne and Jane Wiginton.
- Girls’ 4x100: Hamilton’s girls won the 4x100 with Meg Wiginton, Kyra Casey, Taylor Biggerstaff and Aubrey Sorrels.
- Boys’ 4x100: Hamilton’s boys won with Dylan Segraves, Mason Holloway, Elijah Dollar and Haden Ables.
- Girls’ 4x400: Hamilton girls are Meg Wiginton, Gracie Sanderson, Anne and Jane Wiginton.
- Boys’ 4x400: Hamilton boys are Keyondre Ford, Josh Webb, Layne Taylor and C.J. Sizemore.
Winfield will be hosting the sectional meet on Friday, April 28, and Saturday, April 29. The state meet will be held in Cullman for 1A-3A schools and Gulf Shores for 4A and above schools from May 4-6.
