HAMILTON — Hamilton High School was one of several schools in Alabama to suffer a bit of a scare after serious threats were called into the school on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Hamilton Police Chief Ronnie Vickery stated the Hamilton Police Department was notified about a possible active shooter at an unspecified Hamilton school campus.
“We were notified about the possibility of an active shooter in Hamilton schools,” said Vickery. “They didn’t specify which school. It came from the state trooper’s office.”
Vickery stated the officers were placed at schools and locked schools down in preparation for a possible incident.
“We had six (officers) in the high school. We were locked in the high school and locked the kids down without any kind of incident whatsoever,” said Vickery.
