Lady Tigers win double header

BRILLIANT — The Brilliant Lady Tigers won a double-header at home against the Vina Lady Devils on Tuesday, March 18.
The lady Tigers started the first game down 2-0 at the top of the first, but scored three runs in the bottom of the first to retake the lead 3-2.
From there, the Lady Tigers were able to shut Vina down and score another run in the bottom of the third, followed by three more runs in the bottom of the sixth to win the game 7-2.
For the Lady Tigers, Macy Moore and Brooklyn O’Mary scored two runs each.
Aubrey Moye, Hadlee Sanderson and Karagan Stanford scored one run each. Stanford also batted in two RBIs.
Laine Johnson and Layla Benton brought in one RBI each.
Sanderson pitched for all seven innings, throwing four strikeouts while allowing four walks, eight hits and two runs.
The Lady Tigers won the second game by a much closer margin at 11-10.
Stats were not available for game two. According to coach Hayden Bryant, the player keeping stats had to sub into the game.
