Delane Edward Stricklin

Delane Edward Stricklin, 42, of Brilliant, Ala., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026, at his residence. Delane was born on April 17, 1984, in Jasper, Ala., to Howard Edward Stricklin and Judy Whaley Stricklin.
He was a 2002 graduate of Brilliant High School and went on to attend the University of Alabama where he earned a degree in psychology. Delane was a member of Faith Church in Winfield. He had been employed with 3M company for the past five years and previously worked at Dal-Tile for 10 years. Outside of work, Delane enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and doing anything that involved being on the water. He also enjoyed working on cars, building and engineering things, cooking and going to the beach. Above all else, Delane treasured the time he spent with his daughter, Abygail, who was the greatest joy of his life.
Delane is survived by his daughter, Abygail Stricklin; his mother, Judy Stricklin; his sisters, Karen Markham (Michael) and Amy Thomas; his nieces, Aidan Franz (Jason R. Raub Jr.) and Charlotte Harris; his nephews, Deacon Williams, Brandon Pratt (Melanie), Brady Pratt, Blake Holsonback (Bailey) and Matthew Whitehead (Sheena); along with a host of extended family members and friends.
Delane was preceded in death by his father, Eddy Stricklin; his sister Alisha Franz; and his grandmother, Betty Freeman.
Funeral services for Delane were held on Nov. 6, 2026, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
