Danny Stevan Miller

Danny Stevan Miller, 72, of Guin, passed away on Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, at Northport Medical Center. Dan was born on July 10, 1954, in Haleyville, Ala., to James and Lina Barnwell Miller.
Dan’s parents were visiting family in Alabama at the time, having traveled from their home in Michigan. He grew up in Michigan and returned to Alabama as a young adult, where he remained the rest of his life. Dan was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and spent much of his career working as a painter in the construction industry. He later joined Continental Conveyor, where he worked until his retirement. Outside of work, he enjoyed woodworking and making furniture. He also loved spending time outdoors, especially walking and hiking.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Brenda Miller; his son, Andy Ables (Amy); his grandchildren, Adrian Flores (Lexie), Arianna Flores, Ashlynn Ables, Christian Ables, Zack Ables and Andrew Ables; his great-grandson, Bennett Flores; his sister, Debra Almond (Tom); his brother, Jamie Fletcher; his uncle, Johnny Barnwell; his aunts, Mahala Inlow and Barb Loveless; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his daughters, Cammie and Christy Miller; his parents, James and Lina Miller; and his grandparents, Frank and Linda Barnwell.
