David L. Brown
Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) David L. Brown, United States Air Force, 75, of Hayesville, N.C., formerly of Hamilton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He was born in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday, Feb. 26, 1951, to the late Merlon and Edith Jean Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Brown; mother-in-law, Jean Henyon; sisters, Elizebeth Fawcett, Glynda (Tony) McAbee; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merlon Brown; mother, Edith Jean Smith; grandparents; and father-in-law, John Donald Henyon.
Funeral services were held on July 12, 2026, with full military honors. Burial followed in Hamilton Memory Gardens.
