Shirley Terrell

Shirley Faye Terrell, 83, of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at NMMC-Hamilton. She was born on Sept. 7, 1942, in Marion County, Ala.
Faye was a loving mother and grandmother and a lifelong member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was a devoted wife, homemaker and was a loving mother to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Gerald Terrell; son, Danny Terrell (wife, Cindy); grandson, Zachary Terrell (wife, Shana); great-granddaughter arriving February 2026, Emory Anne Faye Terrell; nephews, Mike Rogers (wife, Teresa) and Steve Rogers (wife, Hazel); brother, Jimmy Clanton (wife, Lunell); a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and hundreds of friends from around the country.
She is preceded in death by parents, J.V. Clanton and Gertha Clanton; stepmother, Lucy Clanton; sisters, Peggy Rogers, Dot Massey and Syble Humphries.
The funeral service was held Nov. 9, 2025, at Marion County Funeral Home. Bishop James Clanton and Pastor Nick Jackson officiated. Burial followed in Antioch Cemetery on County Highway 90, Hamilton, Ala.
Pallbearers were Zachary Terrell, Mike Rogers, Steve Rogers, Tracy Terrell, Daryl Humphries and Casey Rogers.
