Cora Lee Eads Weeks, 87, of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, surrounded by family at home.
She was a member of Winfield First Baptist Church and served as the church’s secretary for many years. She was a graduate of Winfield High School, class of 1956. She loved being a caregiver for her family and a confidante to her friends. Cora Lee was a friend to everyone, as was evidenced by the outpouring of love and support during her last months in the form of food, cards, visits and prayers.
She is survived by daughter, Darlene Weeks Brown (Herb) of Lake Mary, Fla.; son Thomas Edward “Eddie” Weeks (Darla) of Nashville, Tenn.; granddaughters, Coral V. Brown and Dulcy J. Brown; nephews, Stan Johnson (Connie) and Darrell Eads; and nieces Lee Ann Bozeman (Sandy) and Patsy Sullens; and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bobby C. Weeks; parents, Grover W. and Flora Couch Eads; brothers, Lettus G. Eads, Marion Ellis Eads, Doyle Elton Eads and J.D. Eads; and sister Doris “Dot” Eads Johnson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Weeks were held on Nov. 8, 2025, at the Winfield First Baptist Church with burial following in the Winfield City Cemetery.
