Linda Joyce Parr
Mrs. Linda Joyce Rye Parr, 76, of Winfield, passed away on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, in the Grandview Hospital in Birmingham. Linda was born on Sept. 13, 1949, in Marion County, Ala., to Archie and Stella Cantrell Rye.
Mrs. Parr was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church and a graduate of Hamilton High School. Linda loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She always made taking care of them her priority. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains, the beach and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide, but most of all, she loved spending time with her husband at home.
Mrs. Parr is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jimmy Parr; sons, Ryan Parr (Ketty), Michael Parr (Rebekah) and Lee Parr (Lizzy); her grandchildren, Jordan Parr (Ragan), Kaylee, Karrah, Olivia, Kolsten and Levi, Isabella and Ivanna Parr; her sister, Ann James (Billy); and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise Eastmon; brothers, Carlton, Jerry, Ardel and Jimmy Rye; and a granddaughter, Ashlyn Parr.
Funeral services for Linda were held on Sept. 23, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
