HAMILTON - A Hamilton woman will serve a 20-year sentence on supervised release for first-degree theft of property.
According to an announcement by the 25th Judicial Circuit Court District Attorney’s Office on Monday, April 5, Lyndy Richardson Crow, has pleaded guilty to embezzling money from Glasgow Building Supply in Gu-Win.
According to the business owner, Crow skimmed more than $350,000 from the company while being employed there. An official amount of stolen property from the company has not been released by Marion-Winston County District Attorney Scott Slatton; however, the announcement said Crow will be required to pay restitution. The amount of that restitution is pending a court hearing by request of Crow’s attorney, Wyatt Howell, which has been set June 11.
According to arrest reports, Crow, who was 42 at the time, was arrested on June 18, 2019, following an indictment handed down by the Marion County Grand Jury. She was released on a bond of $5,000.
