WCHS drama department to host play in Tidwell’s memory

WINFIELD - The theater students at Winfield City High School and the family of the late Scarlett Tidwell are partnering to present a dinner theater to benefit the Scarlett Tidwell Memorial Scholarship fund. The event will take place in the Winfield Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 9, at 6:30 p.m.
Tidwell originated the drama program in the Winfield City School System in 2015 while teaching English. She passed away from cancer in 2017.
Tidwell’s mother, LaJuana Markham, approached current WCHS theater instructor Josh Kauffman with the idea.
