Terence Blane Jenkins

Terence Blane Jenkins, 59, of Castle Rock, Wash., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, in Winfield.
He was born Feb. 15, 1965, in Winfield, to Jerry Lamar and Genny Lee (Stanford) Jenkins. He married Kristine Melissa Bern on June 27, 1987, at Winfield Church of God.
He graduated from Winfield City High School in 1983 and started on offense and defense, playing football for Northeast Mississippi Community College. He earned a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of North Alabama in 1988. Over his career, he worked as an RN in the emergency department, operating room and surgery center in Alabama, Georgia and Washington. He was most recently employed at Pacific Surgical Center in Longview, Wash.
He loved football, especially college, and was a true University of Alabama fan – Roll Tide! He also loved hunting, fishing, playing guitar, singing and making us all laugh using his quick wit. He could write a song that would touch your heart or crack a joke that made you laugh until you cried. He shared his faith in Jesus Christ through his actions and love for others.
He is survived by his wife, Kristine “Kris” Melissa (Bern) Jenkins; children, Micah Elizabeth (Devin Butler) and Elijah “Eli” Stanford Jenkins; his mother, Genny Lee (Stanford) Jenkins; and sisters, Marla Celeste Jenkins and Jennifer “Niki” Nicole Jenkins (Jason Adams).
Extended family members include his mother-in-law, Carol Jean (McMaster) Bern; brother-in-law, Kurtis Alarik Bern (Sally); nieces, Kelsey Ann Bern, Hanna Alise Bern and Anna Kathryn (Tyner) Watson (Ethan); great-niece, Lilian Mae Watson; and nephews, Alexander Kane Jenkins (Ellis Osen) and Ian Thomas Kennedy.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 4, 2025, in Jenkins' Hall at Winfield Church of God in Winfield.
