Hackleburg Panthers earn another late win

HACKLEBURG — The Hackleburg Panthers have put together a bit of a winning streak after their home victory against the Hubbertville Lions on Friday night in Hackleburg.
The Panthers came into the game with a 2-1 record having beaten Meek and Addison back to back.
It looked to be a tough game for Hackleburg as they went behind by two touchdowns in the first quarter of the game.
While the home side was still down by halftime, they were able to put points on the board after a five-yard touchdown run from Davin Dulaney.
That touchdown late in the first half gave Hackleburg the momentum to take the lead in the third quarter after two touchdowns from a 68-yard reception from Jaquan Reeder and another five-yard touchdown run from Daughtry Gober.
The game was close, and Hubbertville threatened to win the game after scoring with just five minutes left in the game.
But, as with their last game, the Panthers like to leave it late as they scored two touchdowns to close the game out through Reeder and a Ross Hudson pick six.
The final score read Hackleburg 32, Hubbertville 21 as the Panthers extend their winning run to three and their record to 3-1 for the season.
Hackleburg will play Red Bay on Friday night as they look to extend their winning  streak and gain serious momentum for the season ahead.
