Kerry D. Belk, 61, of Guin, Ala., passed away Monday, March 21, 2023 at his residence.
Born September 5, 1961 in Winfield, Ala., he is the son of the late Hazel Crocket and Frankie V. Belk, and the husband of Shelia Nelson Belk. He lived in Guin most of his life and was a member of the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church. He worked hard all of his life. He worked for Wood Perfect, Hamilton Home Builders, and he helped anyone who needed something done.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Nelson Belk; two daughters, Rotaya "Esha" (John) Walker and Shakwieda (Ray) Belk; a son, Derrill (Katie) Hamm; six grandchildren, Tra'Shaun Lark, Jordyn Hamm, Justice Walker, Kamren Martin, Kainen Martin, and Raylyn Hamm; and three great-grandchildren, Ka'Mari Hamm, Ocean Lark, and Kendyl Billups; a sister, Shona (Tyrone) Riggins; and two brothers, Ronald (Nell) Belk and Dee (Molly) Hackman; four nephews, Terry Brenaman, Duran Wallace, Nickolas Wallace, and Angelo Hackman; three nieces, Angel Wallace, Esha, and Tiffany Riggins; and a host of other great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and a special friend, Jill Beus.
Services were held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Beaver Creek Cemetery. Pastor Kenneth Casey officiated.
