William Odell Arnold

William Odell Arnold, 82, of Winfield, formerly of Haleyville, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Marion County, Ala., on April 26, 1944, to Tony Nash and Bernie Lee Henderson Arnold.
Odell spent much of his working life behind the wheel of a truck. He began his career with Consolidated Forest Products, where he became the company’s very first truck driver. He remained an employee for more than 30 years before retiring in 2018. When he wasn’t working, Odell enjoyed gardening, watching westerns and spending time sitting on his front porch.
Mr. Arnold is survived by his children, Terry Eugene Lovett (Malinda), Shelia Darlene Jones, Bryan Eugene Lovett (Jamie), Summer Alisa Tucker (Brian) and Jacqueline Jean Strickland; his daughter-in-law, Merita Arnold; his grandchildren, Raegan Johnson (Ethan), Brooke and Brittany Lovett, Tesla Johns (Will), Terran Lovett, Justin Landrum (Jewel), Miranda Schlehr (Jonathan), A.J. Jones (Jenny), Ashley Kalla (Kevin), Dakota Arnold (Sophia), Garrett and Rylei Arnold, Paige Smith (Kelley), Keifer Slade Tucker (Mea), Adrienne Tucker and Kearsten Pederson; great-grandchildren, Wendell, Eliza, Evie, Kyhlei, Jake, Cole, Andon, Madison, Garrett, Zachary, Cooper, Keylee, Sadie, Palmer, Silas, Ensley, Everleigh, Lainey, Paisley, Maddox, Austyn and Marlee; his sisters, Emma Jean Cook Mathis Bray and Glenda Willis; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Arnold; his son, William Arnold; his parents, Tony and Bernie Arnold; brother, Tonie Arnold; and sisters, Dean Hood and Betty Conrad and two infant sisters.
The Arnold family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hannah, Sarah and Jamie with Amedisys Hospice for the wonderful care, compassion and love they gave to their Pop.
Funeral services for Mr. Arnold were held on Sept. 25, 2026, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Littleville Cemetery near Haleyville.
