Sandra Kaye Autry
Mrs. Sandra Kaye Autry, 73, of Long Beach, Miss., formerly of Winfield, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at her residence. Sandra was born on Sept. 6, 1952, in Eldridge, to Jack Sprinkle Jr. and Mildred Herron Sprinkle.
She was a 1970 graduate of Carbon Hill High School and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Bay St. Louis, Miss. Following high school, Sandra was employed for a time with Sears in Winfield and later worked in several area sewing plants. She went on to serve her community as a bus driver for the local school system and senior citizens program for 13 years. Sandra later began employment with 3M Manufacturing, where she worked until her retirement. In her spare time, Sandra enjoyed watching basketball, keeping up with her grandchildren’s school activities and especially traveling. She and her husband traveled on 36 cruises together.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Gary Autry; her children, Kent Hayes (Holly Hughes) and Dana Lynn (Matt); her stepchildren, John Autry (Charlotte) and Jennifer Autry; her grandchildren, Katy Wallace, Hunter Lynn (Hanna), Anna Lynn, Christian Autry, Brandon Autry (Liz) and Anessa Wallace (Josiah); her great-grandchildren, Maverick Wallace, Shiloh Wallace, Hudson Lynn, Oliver Autry, Emma Wallace, Kennedy Wallace and Thea Wallace; her siblings, Marcie LaCroix (Mark), Renee Bailey (Wallace) and Calvin Sprinkle (Estella); and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Mildred Sprinkle.
Funeral services for Sandra will be held on Jan. 29, 2026, at 11 a.m. from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Winfield City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time at the funeral home.
