William Wayne Lewellen

William Wayne Lewellen, better known as “Will”, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, at the Northwest Medical Center.
He was born in Amory, Miss., on Feb. 4, 1992, to Peggy Lee Green and Brian Lewellen.
He was a 2010 graduate of Winfield City High School. He was employed with Clayton Homes of Guin as a forklift operator. He had an avid love for horses and horsemanship. He was a very humble young man and a shining light to all that knew him. He always had the ability to bring a smile to everyone’s face and he loved for everyone to be happy.
He is survived by his mother - Peggy Lee (Junior) Green; father - Brian (Ruth) Lewellen; brothers - Matthew Lewellen, Josh (Heather) Lucas and Austin Lucas; sister - Makenna Byars; grandparents - Leroy Green, Dwight and Vickie McKay, Gary and Alice Jones; aunts - Tammy (Jim) Byars and Brenda (Cecil) Waid; nieces and nephews - Blake Ryan Johnson, Bodie Scott, Baylee Pennington, Huxlee Lucas and Adrian Lewis; and a host of other family and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother - Amanda Green.
A celebration of life for William was held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the West Alabama Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations to help with Will’s final expenses.
