Hamilton Lady Aggies take down Fayette Lady Tigers Tuesday

HAMILTON — The Hamilton Lady Aggies got a massive win at home on Tuesday, April 12, against Fayette County.
The Lady Aggies won the game 13 runs to Fayette’s three in a game that saw Hamilton score nine runs in one inning, ending the game early.
Hamilton kicked off the scoring early in the game, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning after holding Fayette to a scoreless top of the first.
Both teams could not score in the second inning, but Fayette made a comeback attempt in the third inning scoring two runs and giving up just the one run in the bottom of the third.
The fourth inning is where Hamilton really started their domination of Fayette, keeping them scoreless at the top of the inning and scoring nine runs.
Fayette scored one run in the top of the fifth inning, but it was not enough to keep them in the game which ended early after Hamilton racked up the runs in the fourth.
Lady Aggies Ella Kelley and Aubrey Sorrells were the standout performers for Hamilton at the plate.
Sorrells had two hits and three runs from two at bats, bringing in two RBIs in the game.
Kelley had three trips to the plate, tallying two hits and scoring twice while recording one RBI.
Kelley also started on the mound for the Lady Aggies, going all five innings giving up seven hits, three runs and striking out four batters in the game.
