Margaret Ann McKay Skelton

Margaret Ann McKay Skelton, 77, of Guin, Ala., passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in the Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper. Born Nov. 6, 1948, she is the daughter of the late Charlie Calvin and Wilma Delma Cagle McKay and the wife of the late Richard Elvin Skelton.
She had lived in Guin and Winfield most of her life and was a member of the Center United Methodist Church.  
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Shaw of Hamilton; a son,  James Skelton of Guin; four grandchildren, Kimberly Allison (Corey), David Beck Jr. (Megan), Anna Herron (Hunter) and Austin Shaw (Laura); eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Barbara Walls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Elvin Skelton; and a sister, Billie Jen Gann.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at noon at the Veal Memorial Funeral Home Chapel - Guin with burial in the Center Cemetery. Bro. Kevin Young will officiate.
