Bobby Joe Wilson

Bobby Joe Wilson, 89, of Guin, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, in the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin.
Born Feb. 3, 1936, in Guin, he is the son of the late Lester and Pauline Cantrell Wilson and the husband of the late Marjorie Burleson Wilson. He had lived in Guin all of his life, was a graduate of MCHS where he made All State in basketball and had retired from the 3M Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Guin where he was a choir member. He loved gospel music, was an avid golfer and loved all of the University of Alabama sports.   
He is survived by two sons, Steve Wilson (Donna) and Russ Wilson; grandson, Chase Wilson (Leta); two great-grandchildren, Carson Foster (Katelyn) and Jon Coleman Foster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Pauline Wilson; wife, Marjorie Burleson Wilson; and a brother, Mogene Wilson.
Funeral services were held Dec. 14, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Guin with burial following in the Guin City Cemetery. Bro. Zane Miles officiated.
