Kathleen White Daniel

Kathleen White Daniel, 101, of Mt. Olive, Ala., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Born in Rock City, Ala., on Sept. 19, 1924, Kathleen was the daughter of J.C. and Susie Miles White. She spent much of her adult life in Jackson, Miss., where she worked for many years as a dedicated dental hygienist before retiring.
A faithful member of the Baptist church in Mt. Olive, Kathleen lived her life as an exemplary Christian woman who loved the Lord deeply. After her retirement, her only daughter, Mary Sue, became the center of her world, and Kathleen devoted herself to caring for her with unwavering love and commitment.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Mary Sue Westbrook; granddaughter, Lauren Barrett; great-grandson, Elias Barrett; her niece, Judy Dickson; and a host of cousins and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Terrie Barrett; a grandson, Matthew Barrett; husbands, Van Westbrook and Jesse Daniel; and her brother, Alfred White.
Funeral services for Mrs. Daniel were held on Dec. 11, 2025, at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Griggs Place Cemetery.
