Mrs. Fifi Jo Farris, 92, of Brilliant, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born on March 22, 1933, in Missouri, to Charles William and Della Clo George Gilbert, Fifi grew up in Sunny Home before making Brilliant her lifelong home. A graduate of Brilliant High School, Fifi carried the values of hard work and kindness throughout her life. She was a devoted member of White House Church of Christ, where her faith shone brightly. Fifi spent 28 years employed with Walmart, retiring at the remarkable age of 85. In her free time, Fifi loved to travel, flower gardening and most of all spending time with her family. Her greatest joy came from being present at her grandchildren’s sporting events, cheering them on with love.
Mrs. Farris is survived by her children, Londa Farris Webster (Mike), Jan Farris Cummings (Tony), Barry Farris and Gerald Farris; grandchildren, Shannon Cummings, Stacy Webster Norris (Dewayne), Wesley Webster (Coty), Grant Cummings, Chris Farris, Cody Farris, Casey Farris and Corey Farris; great-grandchildren, Blake Young, Jacie Cummings, Peyton Norris, Gavin Cummings, Macy Cummings, Luke Norris, Levi Norris and Aurora Farris; sisters, Rae Rogers, Carole Kelly and Sharon McKinney; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Farris was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lewis Farris; brothers, Dwight Gilbert, Randal Gilbert and Dawes Gilbert; and sisters, Juanita Gilbert Johnson, Hildred Gilbert Green and Virginia Gilbert Kelly.
Funeral services for Mrs. Farris will be held on April 22, 2025 at the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the White House Church of Christ Cemetery.
