HAMILTON - City officials will weigh recent business proposals.
During a work session on Tuesday, May 11, the Hamilton City Council heard proposals from a local gas wholesaler looking to expand its services and an aspiring entrepreneur seeking a lease deal on city-owned property.
The council heard first from Garrett Fowler of Fowler’s Hamilton Petroleum, who told the council that the local company currently has plans to expand its bulk plant on Highway 278 east of Hamilton.
Fowler approached the city on behalf of the company to ask if the City of Hamilton would offer any tax abatements to supplement the company’s expansion effort.
