HAMILTON — Hamilton Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with state troopers, responded to a dangerous situation on I-22 on Saturday evening, Sept. 13, when calls came in about a vehicle driving the wrong way.
Units were dispatched at 6:02 p.m. after drivers began calling 911 to report a white 2018 Range Rover SUV driving west down the eastbound lane.
Officers and deputies raced to get ahead of the vehicle in an attempt to block traffic and stop the driver. ALEA State Troopers also responded to the call. It was unclear whether the driver could have been having a medical emergency or some other form of impairment.
