Aggies take down Fayette Tigers Thursday

Eli Jackson almost gets to first in time but is called out.

HAMILTON — The Hamilton High Aggies defeated the Fayette Tigers Thursday, April 14, winning with a score of 12-1. The first inning was slow with no scoring, but the Aggies ramped up in the second inning, earning seven runs.
Payton Purser was on the pitcher's mound for Hamilton. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on four hits over four innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Will Jackson led things off on the pitcher's mound for Fayette. Jackson surrendered five runs on two hits over one and one-third innings. Hollis Strawbridge and Cooper Sanford entered the game as relief, throwing one and two-thirds innings and one inning respectively.
Dylan Schloerb went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Fayette in hits. Landon Lowe made the most plays with three.
Hamilton collected 11 hits on the day. Joseph Aycock, Bryant Loving, Purser and Mason Holloway all managed multiple hits for Hamilton.
