VERNON - The Northwest Alabama Economic Development Alliance (EDA) honored Congressman Robert Aderholt, John Riley of Bolzoni Auramo and current and former board chairmen as the EDA held its eighth annual state of the region meeting at the Vernon City Complex on Thursday, January 31.
EDA President and Chief Executive Officer, David Thornell invited guest speakers such as Chance McDavid, the director of Asset Development Division of the Mississippi Development Authority, and David Fuqua of Fuqua Consulting to speak about ideas to greater develop and invigorate Marion, Lamar and Fayette counties by bringing in more business and getting community members involved in coming up with events to draw visitors.
After the two guests’ presentations, Northwest Alabama EDA took the time to recognize its partners and board members with an award ceremony.
