Thermon H. McDonald

Thermon H. McDonald, 94, of Winfield, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1928, in the Wayside Community. He is the son of the late Leonard Curtis and Ellena Blankey McDonald and the husband of the late Betty Atkins McDonald.  
He lived in the Wayside Community, Guin and Winfield most of his life and retired from 3M Company. He was a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Winfield First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter - Carolyn Sue McDonald of Winfield; three sisters - Virgie L. Housh and Gaynell Dunavant both of Winfield, and Ellena Sue Howell of Guin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife - Betty Lois Atkins McDonald; a daughter - Marilyn Faye McDonald; two sisters - Edna McDonald and Betty McPhail; two brothers - Curtis and Edward McDonald; and two infant brothers.
The funeral service for Mr. McDonald was held on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, from the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Guin with burial following at the Guin City Cemetery.
Bro. Paul Murphy and Bro. Kenny Hatcher were the officiating ministers.
