Ruby Sue Crowe Harbin, 96, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Guin.
She was born on April 10, 1926. She retired from Arrow Manufacturing Company and lived most of her life in the community of Pearidge. She was an active member of Free Waters Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir, and later Burleson Church of Christ with husband Talvage.
She leaves to family and friends a legacy of joy in all things, particularly in suffering. She lived an authentic Christian life, not void of pain, death, and hardship, and yet she modeled unshakable, profound joy with enduring faith in Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her granddaughter - Heather Rae Pollard (Wayne) Womack; daughter-in-law - Ann (Paul) Godfrey; great-granddaughters - Bella Rae Lee and Anna Mae Lee; brother - Jimmy Wayne (Lanetta) Crowe; sister-in-law - Mae Rene Crowe; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband - Kelcy Pollard; husband - Ray Matthews; husband - Talvage Harbin; son - Bonny Ray Pollard; parents - Dave and Gertie Stowe Crowe; brothers - James Dewitte Crowe, Euel Crowe, Hayward Crowe and Harold Crowe; and sisters - Mary Lou Leihsing and Carole Williams.
The funeral service for Mrs. Harbin was held on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at the Marion County Funeral Home with a graveside following at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Twin.
Dr. David Crowe was the officiating minister.
