Audrey A. Williams Byrd, 86, passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, at her residence.
She was born in Hamilton on Oct. 2, 1935, to Leonard Williams and Maud Nix Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children - Eddie (June) Byrd, Teresa (Roland) Harris, Grace (Rickey) Skinner, Carol (Tim) Winsett, Justin (Eme) Byrd, Linda (Wade) Sullins, Helen (Johnny) Robertson and Mae Owsley; brothers - Wayne Williams, Vecil (Jane) Williams; best friend - Louise Pickle; brothers-in-law - Johnny Burrow and Tommy Wisecarver Sr.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death her husband - Gene Byrd; son - Dennis Byrd; grandsons - John Franks and Samuel Byrd; daughter-in-laws - Carolyn Byrd and Judy Byrd; sisters - Rudella Wisecarver and Letha Burrow; brother - Lowel Williams; parents - Leonard and Maude Williams; son-in-law - Dennis Stidham; sister-in-law - Jo Ann Williams.
The funeral service for Mrs. Byrd will run on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2022, at the Marion County Funeral Home with burial following at the Smyrna Cemetery.
Bro. Jimmy Lucas and Bro. Rich Dubielak were the officiating ministers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in her memory to Smyrna Cemetery Fund and Hospice of Northwest Alabama.
