Mrs. Laura Marie Little Rainwater, better known as Marie, 63, of Vernon, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, in the Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper.
She was born to Clarence and Bobbie Shaw Little on Aug. 1, 1959, in Fayette County. She attended Hubbertville High School and was a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church. Mrs. Rainwater’s greatest love in life was being a mother, maw maw, and sister, she also enjoyed watching Alabama Football in her spare time.
She is survived by her children - Chris Rainwater, Beth (Aaron Farley) Breeden and Stephanie (Warren Jones) Rainwater; grandchildren - Destinay and Chelsea Marcum, Austin Jones and Jayden Jones; sisters - Janet (Ronnie) Smith and Diane Franks; and a host of other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children - Angela and Shane Rainwater; brother - Michael Little; and sisters - Martha Ingram and Linda Tranum.
The funeral service for Mrs. Rainwater was held on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2022, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
