Troy Jackson Green

Mr. Troy Jackson Green, 83, of Guin, passed away on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.  
Mr. Green was born in the Pea Ridge community on Sept. 2, 1938, to Grady Lee and Stella Mae Harris Green.
Mr. Green was a member of the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church and spent much of his life working as a heavy equipment operator for the Marion County Road Commission. He loved to spend his spare time watching Alabama Football, woodworking and peach seed carving. He had a great love for the guitar, he spent many days during his 83 years playing for many functions and groups. He was often referred to by friends as “Guitar Picker Paw”.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife of 63 years - Nellie Franks Green; son - Troy Eugene (Holly) Green of Hamilton; daughter - Shirley Mae (Paul) Kimberlin of Laurel, Miss.; grandchildren - Brandon Rhett Green, Tiffany Ann Marie (Jeremy) Watkins, Ashley Renae (Dustin) Steele, Doug (Jennifer) Channel, Kennedy Dezso, Gracie Dezso, Savannah Mae (Drake) Smith, Auston Landon (Camille) Kimberlin, Coy Jackson (Laken) Kimberlin, Clayton Joseph (Tiffany) Kimberlin and Hannah Kimberlin (Michael) Fuentes; 22 great-grandchildren;  sister - Mary Lou Lolley; brothers - Leroy Green and Junior Green; and a host of other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother - Rayburn Green.
The funeral service for Mr. Green was held on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, from the Liberty Freewill Baptist Church near Guin with burial to following at the adjoining cemetery.
