Marion County slides into win over Vina

The Marion County Red Raiders easily dispatched Vina 11-4 on Tuesday, April 19.
Marion County got things moving in the first inning, when Zach Lamoureux doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Marion County scored four runs in the sixth inning. Marion County's big bats in the inning were led by a single by Lamoureux, a sac fly by Cade Adkins and an error on a ball put in play by Caleb Knight.
Zane Burasinski was the winning pitcher for Marion County. Burasinski allowed two hits and one run over three innings, striking out four. Adkins, Nate Beckon and Ryan Jaggers all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Trenton Alack took the loss for Vina. Alack went seven innings, allowing 11 runs on nine hits and striking out four.
Marion County tallied nine hits on the day. Brodie Silas and Lamoureux all managed multiple hits. Silas led Marion County with three hits in four at bats. Marion County was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Rilley Smith made the most plays with 12.
James (Grayson) Ridge went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Vina in hits. Vina stole six bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Baylie Scott led the way with two.
