Mr. Timmy Lee Autrey, 60, Brilliant, passed away on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021.
Mr. Autrey was born on June 23, 1961, to Uless Ray Autrey and MaryAnn Farley.  
Mr. Autrey was a member of the Brock Church of Christ and a 1979 graduate of Brilliant High School. He was employed for many years as a truck driver; he drove for Continental Conveyor and pulled mobile homes. His most recent employment was service manager for Frazier Splicing in Brilliant.

Mr. Autrey is survived by his wife of 32 years - Traci Flanagan Autrey; sons - Jonathon Autrey and Levi (Haley) Autrey; his mother - MaryAnn Farley; sister - Tina (Clint) Martin; brothers - Tommy Autrey and Terry Autrey; mother-in-law - Wanda Flanagan; sister-in-law - Tammy (Tommy) Woodard; niece - Emily (Matt) Wilson; and nephews - Tyler Autrey and Joshua Moore.
Mr. Autrey was preceded in death by his father - Uless Ray Autrey; step-father - Howard Farley; grandparents - Lynn and Myrl Wilburn and Uless Bo and Vernell Autrey; father-in-law - James Flanagan; and sister-in-law - Connie Autrey.
A graveside service for Mr. Autrey was held on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, from the Brock Church of Christ Cemetery.

Joyce Ellen Clanton, 83, Tallahassee, Fla., formerly of Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, in Tallahassee, Fla.

She was born on Dec. 11, 1937, to Charles and Ludeen Clanton in Marion County.
She attended Brilliant School and graduated from Crockett High School in Texas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in home economics from the University of Texas.  
After graduation, she went to work with the Florida Department of Agriculture as the spokesperson for Gulf Coast seafood. She had her own TV cooking show where she was known as “The Seafood Lady.” She traveled all over the world and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.
She is survived by her cousins - Sandra Porter, Eddie (Karen) Porter, Barry Porter, Anita (Jeffery) McKee, Amber and Ella Jones and Glenda (Herbie) Schenek; her best friend - Sandra Mack; and many other close friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents - Charles and Ludeen Corkren Clanton; and an infant brother.  
The funeral service for Ms. Clanton was held on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

James Gill, 64, Guin, passed away on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, in the Diversicare Nursing Home in Winfield.

Mr. James Mack Roberts, better known as Mack, 74, Brilliant, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021.

He was born on July 31, 1947, in Haleyville to James Perry and Learah Mae Moore Roberts.  
He was a 1965 graduate of Brilliant High School, a United States Army veteran, a member of the Brilliant Masonic Lodge #601 and a supporter of St. Jude Children’s  Research Hospital.  
He was employed for over 32 years with Drummond Coal Company and served in the Army National Guard for over 20 years. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting, playing music, watching westerns and telling stories.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his children - Jeana (Tim) Estes, Kathy Green and Johnny Mack Roberts; grandchildren - Skye (Reed) Hollingsworth, Joshua Estes, Joseph Estes, Logan Green and Sarah (Noah) Rice; and great-grandson - Carter Seals.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents - James “Jim” and Learah Roberts; and wife - Ina Jean Roberts.
The funeral service for Mr. Roberts was held on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel followed by a graveside service at Brilliant Memorial Gardens where Masonic honors were presented.

Mrs. Wanda Lou Sandlin, 67, Beaverton, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021.

She was born on Sept. 23, 1953, to Earnest and Vertie Lee Stone in Hamilton.  
She was a member of the Beaverton United Methodist Church and attended Winfield City High School, Northwest Community College and Bevill State Community College, earning a certificate in machine tool technology. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and a long-time employee of Max’s Homes in Sulligent.
Mrs. Sandlin is survived by her daughters - Tami (Ricky) Robison, Natasha (Corey) Morrow and Roxie Robinson; grandchildren - Dakota (Lysa) Sandlin, Kamie Dennis, Autumn Webb, Kimberly (Jeremy) Brown, Colton (Sidney) Robison, Chamberlyn Webb, Tapainga Robinson, Xander Morrow, Landon Morrow and Kison Robinson; great-grandchildren - Anna Dennis, Brodie Dennis, Anrylie Sandlin, Fischer Sandlin, Lola Sandlin, Ryder Wilson, William (Liam) Brown, Kendalyn Robison and Kelena Robison; brother - Robert Stone; sisters - Linda Noles, Betye Tune and Matwana Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
Mrs. Sandlin was preceded in death by her husband - Richard C. Sandlin; her parents - Earnest Stone and Vertie Lee Warren Stone; grandparents - Oscar F. Long and Alzeda Warren; and a brother - Earnest Stone.

Wanda Shaw, 48, Guin, passed away on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, in the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield.
She was born on Jan. 6, 1973, in Alabama. She is the daughter of the late James and Glenda Dozier Shaw. She lived in Guin the past six years and formerly lived in Berry.
She is survived by a daughter - Ada Tidwell, Guin; two sons - James Tidwell, Guin, and Joseph Tidwell, Winfield; four grandchildren - Johnathan, Kinsley, Macie and Mackenzie; four sisters - Connie Hollingsworth, Winfield, Kathy Burnett, Glen Allen, Jennifer Shaw, Winfield, and Teressa Sullvin, Hawaii; and a brother - Greg Shaw, Winfield.
A private family memorial service was held at a later date.

Mrs. Donna Hardwick Wimberly, 67, Albany, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga.
She was born on June 16, 1954, in Leeds. She is the daughter of Lloyd Hardwick and Ailleen Koshat Hardwick Letteer.

She was raised in Birmingham and graduated from Cullman High School. She worked at Brookwood Hospital for many years and later earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Samford University and her master’s degree for nurse practitioner from Vanderbilt University. She worked as a nurse practitioner for UAB, Phoebe Putney, Cullman, Shelby County and Baptist Montclair hospitals as well as several others. Her goal in life was help take care of sick people with God’s help.
Mrs. Wimberly is survived by her husband - William E. Smith, Birmingham, formerly of Winfield; sons - Gann Smith and fiance' Angela Lee, Argo, and Jason (Tamara) Smith, Wilmington, N.C.; daughter - Tylar Wimberly (Shawn) Castleman, Hoover; sister - Cathy Hardwick, Nashville; and grandchildren - Vivian Clara Smith, Martha Addison Smith, Tucker Cobin Smith, Evelyn Gann Smith, Rowan A. Castleman, Harper O. Mellon, John A Mellon, Lillian M. Mellon, Katherine A. Mellon, Ian B. Castleman, Quinn M. Castleman, Anaise P. Castleman, Austan Lee and Logan Lee.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father - Gene Letteer; and a brother - Mike Hardwick.
The funeral service was held on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, from the Miles Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Winfield City Cemetery.
