Mr. Ray Alexander, 86, Winfield, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021.
He was born on Aug. 24, 1934, in Beaverton to Clyde Alexander and Mary Helen Weeks Alexander. He was a member of the Winfield First United Methodist Church. He was a 1952 graduate of Sulligent High School and a proud 1956 graduate of Auburn University.

Mr. Alexander was owner/operator of Alexander Drugs in Winfield for 40 years, continuing service to his customers well after the close of business day. Upon selling his drug store, he worked as a fill-in pharmacist in various locations. He was very involved with the Kiwanis Club in Winfield. He and Dr. Aubrey Sewell worked together in forming the Mid-Day Kiwanis Club.
During his time with Kiwanis International, Mr. Alexander held many offices and served the organization in many statewide capacities. He was also an active member of Gideons International, serving this organization until his death, most recently with the Lamar County Camp. Mr. Alexander was a true servant; he was always contributing to and serving for these organizations in various ways and roles for many years. Mr. Alexander was a true Auburn man, a wearer of brightly colored clothing, soft-spoken, a fan of vocabulary, loyal to Beaverton, loved his wife Mary deeply, and loved his children and grandchildren, his church and his God.
He is survived by his daughter - Jill Satcher, Northport; sons - Tom (Cindy) Alexander, Havelock, N.C., and Chuck Alexander, Madison; his grandchildren - Jeremy Satcher, Daniel Satcher, Janie Alexander (Vince) DeWitt and Hannah Alexander; sisters - Judy Alexander, Hamilton, and Phyllis Alexander, Seneca, S.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and other close relatives and friends.  
Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by wife - Mary Helen Hollis Alexander; his parents - Clyde and Mary Helen Weeks Alexander; a sister - Sue Anderson; and daughter-in-law - Lydia Campbell Alexander.
The funeral service for Mr. Alexander was held on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, from the Winfield First United Methodist Church with burial following in the Winfield City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to Gideons International for Bibles, or a gift to the Winfield First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund at P. O. Box 387 Winfield, AL 35594, to be made in Mr. Alexander’s memory.

 Mr. Donald DeLane Atkinson, 82, Winfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021, in the Northwest Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Mr. Atkinson was born on June 28, 1939, to Hollis and Abbie Gail Atkinson in Fayette County.  
He was a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church and worked as a carpenter for many years.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 62 years - Mrs. Jimmie Sue Perry Atkinson; a daughter - Donna Waldrop; his sons - Larry (Kim) Atkinson and Barry (Nancy) Atkinson; grandchildren - Deric (Heather) Thomas, Abbie (Hans) Thomas, Jordan (Abi) Atkinson, Will Atkinson, Kate Atkinson, Callie Atkinson and Isaac Atkinson; great-grandchildren - J. D., Simon, Anna, Gracie, Ethan, Bridges, Holden, Hugo, Hadassah, Rahab, Micaiah, Hosea and Job; sisters - Edna Kilgore and Virginia Nixon; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and other close family and friends.  
He was preceded in death by his parents - David  Hollis Atkinson and Abbie Gail Lee Atkinson; sisters - Sue Hubbert, Eloise Harkness and Willow Nette Atkinson; and his brothers - Proctor Atkinson, Lambert Atkinson, Lee Atkinson and Carl Atkinson.
The funeral service for Mr. Atkinson was held on Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, from the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  
Bro. Steve Stamps was the officiating minister.

Mr. Michael Dewayne Davis, 55, Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021.
He was born on Dec. 6, 1965, in Winfield. He was a 1984 graduate of Winfield City High School.  He served in the Army National Guard, United States Navy and United States Army for a total of 28 years.

He was preceded in death by a wife - Rhonda Davis; a son - Randy MacLaren; his father - Benny F. Davis; sister - Debbie Graves; a brother - Johnny Cantrell; grandparents - Arlington and Louise Webster; and uncles - William “Willie” Webster and Bill Holcomb.

Robert J. (Rob) Gills, 62, Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, July  21, 2021, at his residence.

He was born in Hamilton on Tuesday, June 30, 1959, to J.M. Gills and Hazel Mae Keller Bowling.
He leaves to cherish his memories his son - Damien (Judy) Gills; grandchildren - Emily and Austin; daughters - Jaden and Kinslee; brothers - Jerry and Steven; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces-and- nephews, great-great-niece-andnephew and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents - J.M. and Hazel Mae Bowling; and sister - Earlene Baty.

She was born on Jan. 30, 1936, to Bessie and Alvin Wiginton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her husband - Bert Sullins; her children - Brian (Kathi) Atkins and Sheri (Lee) Fitzgerald; her grandchildren - James Atkins, Leigh Anne Atkins and Sydney Fitzgerald; her twin sister and best friend - Earlean (Dale) Roberson; nieces and nephews; and her step-children - Sherry (Robert) Taylor and Fred (Betty) Sullins.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters - Beatrice (Golden) Harris, Inez (Dewey) Crow and Lorene Irvin.
